Markus Johansson has presented the latest chair design called The Nest Chair. Looking at the design, the Nest chair was inspired by bird’s nest. Bird’s nest is known as a work of art that crafted with skill and patience to provide a shelter for bird’s child. As bird’s nest, Nest chair is also created with a lot of skill and patience. Although it’s not meant to prepare a permanent place for our kids but unusal chair allows you to curl up with a period of rest or for a fairy tale moment at your home.
Combining modern and age-old technique, the Nest presents its self as a violent and chaotic swirl of solid wood frozen in time. It is built in of a free form combination of round pegs that are bent and drilled in CNC milling machine to achievr the proper fit. The round pegs are identical and then cut at various lengths to make it easy to produce. This chair is environmentally friendly because it is made from wood.
