Stylish but Unusual Bulletproof Table by Aviad Gil for The Conflict Collection
Designer Aviad Gil has created the latest table design called Bulletproof Table. Designed for the Conflict Collection, Bulletproof Table is very unusual table that is made from Volvo bulletproof glass. Spent some time in the Gaza Strip, apparently inspired the designer to create furniture that able to describe the situation of Gaza Strip. Influenced perhaps by his personal experiences in the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict, this table seems to be a social commentary on the state of affairs going on in the world nowadays.
The Bulletproof Table is made using unusual technique. It is constructed from a heady mix of violence, the blue tinted “bulletproof glass of a Volvo car, Ak-47 shots, epoxy, ink, and iron” as part of his “Conflict Collection”. To create this table Volvo bulletproof glass was shot with AK-47, and then the glass was taken and put it on the frame applying some epoxy. Then, they played Russian attack and applied some epoxy and hold it on the iron frame that perfectly accents the vehement piece with its on-edge legs. Unfortunately, this table only available in one color scheme but it is almost universal. It will look stylish and trendy in any place with simple design and unusual at the same time.
