Spectacular Fiat 500 Design Collection, Retro Furniture Set by Meritalia and Lapo Elkann

How about sitting on the hood of your cars and gaze at the sky, that will be terrific. This spectacular Fiat 500 Design Collection which was recently showed at Milan International Furniture Fair is gorgeous and we tend to think that it will fit in perfect at your deck to enjoy the blue sky and the stars. The set was designed by Meritalia and Lapo Elkann where Lappo is actually the Fiat chairman’s brother. The fiat furniture collection consists of a table (Picnic), a console (Cheers) and a sofa (Panorama). They’re all inspired from the 1957 Fiat 500.

The official press release, said that “PICNIC” table features the frontal parts of the 70 FIAT 500. The side wheels are made of flexible polyurethane elastomer finish in matte black.” Cheers” console has a basic structure in sheet form that reproduces the front of the FIAT 500.The top is tempered glass extra bound to the base with polished aluminum supports. Available in three heights. The sofa “Panorama” has a steel perimeter frame that approximates the shape of the front car FIAT. The padded seat and backrest made of polyurethane with different densities, make it particularly comfortable. The covers, in fabric or leather, with stitching and geometric pattern side wheels are made of polyurethane and add stylish details.
