Brilliant Osso Chair by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Mattiazzi
Family-owned company that has been manufacturing chairs for others since about forty years, Italian Manufacturer Mattiazzi has presented the latest chair design called Osso Chair. Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the chair is created using sophisticated CNC set of tools and at the same time a greatly refined manual know-how, Mattiazzi has a hybrid way to consider furniture production. The chair is produced using equipments that powered by solar energy and wood that is coming from the surrounding areas to be carefully selected without the use of any chemical treatments.
The Osso chair has four sculpted wooden pads making up the seat and backrest. It is made from oak, maple or ash sourced close to Mattiazzi’s factory, and each one is produced with a mixture of CNC tooling and handcraft. The chair invites to be touched, even caressed as it is extremely sculpted and polished using highly sophisticated digital control equipment. It is also created using high-tech system assembly geometric wood panels that allow singular strength while keeping the balance of design objects. In the future, the Osso collection will include a chair, an armchair, children chair as well as high and low stools. This new chair is absolutely brilliant. It will be exhibited at Milan Design Week this year. For more details, you can visit here or Mattiazzi’site here
