Modern Interior Design in A Small 115 Square Meters Haines House in Sydney by Christopher Polly Architect
If you get used to live in a large house then living in a small space will be extremely difficult to except. Your space is so limited and arranging things might be difficult, but let’s take the good thing, having a small house with a small interior design means there’s small amount of time being wasted. You can easily reach the kitchen, go to the bathroom, access the living room, and within a second or two you can enjoy the nice small yard.
Just like the Haines House, a modern minimalist crib with minimalist interior which is located in Newtown, Sydney, a small modern dwelling which was a complete refurbishment of an existing single storey semi detached dwelling with a nice rear garden design. This small interior is the right kind of modern small living. We love the part where the living room can have access to the small yard and more over the floor to ceiling windows are completely accessible as they can be fully opened up, making this space a good spot to hold a small gathering with your friends.
There are also one thing that we quite disagree with the architect, and that is the part of this place having some sort of a hallway or a pathway which is just next to the kitchen which is integrated within the living room. We tend to like it to have the pathway removed and make the whole space completely free. Also the architect could maximize the wall space to add some bookshelves instead of using storage system, thus making it more space efficient.
Overall, this small modern dwelling space is great, and it’s good to know that the bathroom is completely separated from the kitchen, dining & living space. You can access the bathroom at the back. We also just realize that this small modern interior doesn’t have a combo dining and living space, but it has triple living space of kitchen, dining and living room all goes at the same space and sharing the same area. This small interior design and the whole house project was completed in 2010. Check out more from Christopher Polly Architect
