Spanish manufacturer Medio Design has presented the latest chair design called Elephant. Elephant is a comfortable lounge chair, inviting conversation and perfect for reading. As the name, this lounge chair is inspired by the LCW Molded Plywood Chair and the Elephant, sculpture chair designed by Eameses in 1945. It is a wonderful example of both efficient crafting and clean, classic lines.

Looking at the design, Elephant lounge chair looks very comfortable for both outdoor and indoor use. It is assembled from laser-cut wood and then fit together like a puzzle that is arranged to a seat. All four pieces of Elephant chair is made from a standard sheet of birch plywood that is cut using CNC machine. It has been shown at Medio Design’s workshop in Barcelona.

Come with the touch of Eames, Hans Wegner and great piece of Medio, this wooden lounge chair is created using an efficient process that produce a very little waste material and possibilities for customization. More, there is a child-sized version of this chair that available for the mini design aficionado in your household.
