Lavaflow 2 – A Small Cottage with Low Butterfly Roof by Craig Steely Architect
With a low butterfly roof design this small cottage will stand tough in a windy place and hot sunny Big Island in Hawaii. This compact mini cottage has been designed with organic and natural flair. The house by Architect Craig Steely is called Lavaflow 2. Since it’s been using such roofing concept we can guess that the water system in this house is also done by storing rain water.
Taking as much areas as 1,400 square feet the contemporary house design is placed just opposite the ocean side. A large covered deck and a butterfly roof design makes it a perfect nice place to hang around and enjoy the outdoors in any kind of weather. The small contemporary house features concrete floors, rich natural wood walls, skylight framing, circular bathroom and low butterfly roof design.
