Inspiring Cafe Design in New York by Nema Workshop
There’s nothing like a good coffee while reading novels like the Twilights Saga. Books and coffees are two inseparable item, they are two dwelling souls in one body. If you like the idea of reading and coffee then you will certainly love the design idea coming from Nema Workshop located on Madison Avenue, New York City, the 24 hours nonstop living city. The idea of creating a strong identity certainly works well for this small Espresso Café.
The architects stated as follow: “Inspired by the nearby Bryant Park Library, Nema Workshop designed a store that is straightforward in a simple twisted way – take a library and turn it SIDEWAYS. The booklined shelves become the floor and ceilings and wood floor ends up on the walls meanwhile the pendants protrude sideways from the wall. To achieve the books shelves on the floor, the space is lined with sepia-toned full size photograph of books printed on custom tiles.”
Although some might say that the idea was bold, we think the this Cafe interior design is definitely original and inspiring although we prefer that those were real books that we can just take any time while enjoying a cup of Espresso.

This innovative restaurant design is simply inspirational. The concept of a different perspective gives this site a really interesting, almost viral feel. Would have loved to hear how this has been received by the consumer.
