In collaboration between Furniture Designer and Engineer, Mattew Hayward and Creative Director Nadia Turan, has created a modern chicken coop that is designed in the shape of an egg. The chicken coop is called The Nogg.
As Furniture Designer and Engineer, Mattew has mixed precission engineering with his inate empathy for materials and craftsmanship that makes his work quietly brilliant and makes this a beautiful and unique object above and beyond being a pretty cool chicken house. While Creative Director, Nadia Turan developed the brand. Nadia has used hand drawn illustrations combined with graphic elements to bring the Nogg and those quirky chickens to life. The result is modern chicken coop that adding a touch of playful elegance to your lawn/garden. The Nogg have been Shown off at Tent London at the London Design Festival 2010, the coop didn’t fail to steal the attention of each one present there and it.
The Nogg is hand made from cedar wood which has a naturally fresh scent and is naturally resistant to bacteria. To give touch of modern, it is equipped with stainless steel trimming, locks & fasteners and the elevated glass dome. Every chicken farmer, urban or otherwise knows that the key to chicken health is a well-ventilated spacious coop that is easy to keep clean. So, to give well-ventilated the Nogg is also completed with a glass-top that automatically twists and lifts to provide ventilation to the chickens. In addition, the coop is easy to clean. It has a large hatch that allows you to remove the base tray inside easily. The Nogg has been designed to house 2-4 chickens in an aesthetically pleasing coop to compliment any garden and built in measurement of height – 1.2 m and widest diameter – 80cm.
