Constantin Wortmann for Germany company Next has designed cool pendant lamp called NLC. Features 6 E14 LED 2.2W bulbs and looks like a futuristic version of antler chandelier, NLC lamp perplexes with its positively striking and yet strangely puzzling appearance. The lamp is also able to work with standard energy-efficient bulbs although only with LED’s. Dimmable LED’s allow you to control the level of brightness as you like.
Having special appeal lies in the seeming conflict between the chaotic and the organic, NLC draws its inspiration as much from the head of Medusa as from the finely trellised branches of a treetop. The white cover hides the light fittings and is adjusted easily to create the desired amount of illumination. May be it is one of the reasons for the luminaire’s attractiveness certainly stems from the fact that the design invisibly incorporates the light source.
