The Reclaimed Wood Dining Chair – DC09 by Inoda Sveje Design Studio

September 29, 2010 Filed Under: Seating Design

This dining chair is looking skinny like a world class cat walk model. I like the skinny shape of its leg which isn’t so chunky like any others while also providing a good strength and stable too. DC09 the name of this chair reminded us Nendo’s wire chair which has the thinnest chair’s legs of any chair there’s. The reclaimed wood dining chair is thin allowing the wood to hug the rest of this chair’s body. Very much visual and others has described that it’s in a form of Deer, where this animal represents such small and slim legs but the strength and agility is incredible. The wood grains is really showing where by then it’s finished in a dark brown color.

DC09 chair comes from the Milan designer of Inoda+Sveje Design Studio, and was firstly introduced at Copenhagen in 2000 by Kyoko Inoda, a Japanese Osaka based designer and Danish designer Nils Sveje. What we love from Japanese furniture is always comes with simplicity and hardly you can see the joint and as far as we know that the Japanese wood crafter is very perfectionist. Japanese Miyazaki Isu later on had this lovely chair produced in teak, ash or Indonesian rose wood.
