Creative DreiX’s Balanced Shelf that Balances Itself by Christian Kim
If you wanna have shelf system that could be moved as you like and balanced itself, this shelf might be one of your choices. DreiX’s Balanced Shelf designed by German designer Christian Kim, is an innovative shelf system inspired from the process of movement and balances. By taking the human fascination for the movement of objects into account, this work tries to question the way of using shelves and to show new possibilities interaction between human, object and the perception of rooms.
The DreiX’s Balanced Shelf consists of several cube shelves that could be positioned in a horizontal row that is set on the diagonal. This installation is easier than the installation of the usual one, you don’t need to create an equilibrium within the shelf because the balance in a room is achieved through an imbalance of the shelf. It means that shelves balance themselves. The shelves backs are supported of metal that could be fixed on the wall, so you can move the shelves to achieve the desired look.
