This private house is built on a former industrial area at the centre of Leiden, Netherlands. This city home is designed by Pasel Kuenzel which is very famous and the works have been mentioned and adorned by many people across the internet in many countries. The city homes design solves two main needs and those are light and space.

This modern city home is divided into two parts which are easily noted due to the differences in the materials used on the facades just like what you’ve seen on the picture bellow. The larger parts contain bedrooms and a living room with features of very tall windows so that the interior can be filled with natural sunlight. The long and narrow is the second part where it contains the bathrooms, kitchen, utility room and the stairway. The roof built slightly inclined to let more light into the bedrooms and allow people to watch the stars above. It also functions to protect rooftop garden and to protect neighbors and people on the street viewing the top while you’re having activities there.
